An invitation to be part of it

Three ways to help bring the afternoon to life.

Sunday 8 November 2026 · Drostdy Theatre, Stellenbosch

Already on board

Thank you to the sponsors and media partners who have already said yes.

They came on board early to make the afternoon happen for the Karoo children. There is still room for your business alongside them.

The room

Be part of the afternoon Stellenbosch will remember.

On 8 November, two-time Grammy winner Mauritz Lotz and celebrated chef Harry Sideropoulos share one stage for 240 guests at the Drostdy Theatre.

Every seat funds the Klein Karoo Leessentrum, where children learn to read before they start school. In the room: 240 of the Klein Karoo and Boland’s business leaders, families and supporters.

Three ways to be part of it

Pick the one that suits your business.

Feed the event, and show off your product

Provide your product or produce, and watch Harry cook with it live for 240 guests. We also run a full media shoot of the chef cooking with your product, and hand you the photos and video to use on your own socials.

The timing works in your favour. Harry launches Every Taste a Memory the week before, so the afternoon lands in the middle of a press run, with interviews, radio and social all pointed at the same food.

Perfect for food brands, producers and Karoo farmers

Ways to feed the day

  • Karoo meat: ostrich, lamb or beef, the heart of the plated lunch
  • Chicken for a course, or to feed the crew and volunteers
  • Fresh produce: vegetables, olives, bread, cheese, figs and dairy
  • Pantry & specialty products for the tables or the guest care package

You receive

  • A full media shoot of Harry cooking with your product. The photos and video are yours to use on your own channels for 12 months
  • Media are attending the day, so your brand is in the room when the afternoon is covered
  • A “proudly served” credit on the menu and from the stage
  • Your name and logo in the programme and on the stage screen
  • A mention in the media release and across our social media

What we ask in return

  • That you post about the day and tag us. The reach works both ways
  • Product delivered to Stellenbosch on 4 or 5 November, so the kitchen can plan around it

There is radio activity planned around the launch. A brand mention there is possible, but it rests with the station, so we are not going to promise it.

Brand the afternoon

R75 000

Bring the whole event to life and let it carry your name. The afternoon becomes “presented by your brand”, with your logo across the screen, programmes and signage, thanks from the stage, and a VIP table of 10 to host your guests.

Headline sponsorship · one brand only

You receive

  • Naming rights: billed as “Plektrum × Every Taste a Memory, presented by [your brand]” across every touchpoint
  • Your logo on the stage screen, programmes, menus and signage
  • Thanks from the stage by Mauritz Lotz and Harry Sideropoulos
  • A VIP table of 10 to host your clients or team (R12 000 value)
  • A full page in the programme and a place in the media release
  • A social media feature before and after the day

Fill the goody bag

Every guest leaves with a care package to take home. Add your product, a sample or a voucher, or brand the bag itself, your logo alongside ours.

Wine belongs here. Wine is already being served on the day, so a bottle in the bag is the version that goes home with 240 people and gets opened later, with your label on the table.

Product or branding for up to 240 guests (160 for the VIP tables)

You receive

  • Your brand in 240 hands, and in their homes
  • An offer they carry back to your door: a card, discount or invitation
  • Your name in the programme and a mention across our social media
  • Association with a celebrated chef, a Grammy winner and a cause the country roots for

The ask

Between them, these three options are what put 160 guests at the VIP tables and keep the ticket price where a Karoo family can reach it.

Give what suits you, in cash or in kind. The Klein Karoo Leessentrum is a registered NPC (2016/210400/08), so in-kind contributions are recognised at their retail value and your contribution qualifies for a Section 18A tax certificate, as sponsorships and donations do. A headline sponsorship also counts toward B-BBEE socio-economic development.
